Moorabbin Junction holds real potential for new businesses, developments and investors.
Kingston Council is unlocking that potential with a comprehensive Urban Renewal Strategy that aims to:
- facilitate the development of key sites within the centre through enabling outcome focussed planning controls based on the Moorabbin Structure Plan
- bring life back to the streets through inviting new shops, cafes, restaurants, art and entertainment in a new lifestyle and arts precinct centred on Station Street
- promote the development of prime sites, in particular Woolworths and The Link, into a new pedestrian friendly retail precinct that has greater employment and retail options
Moorabbin Junction has one of the busiest supermarkets in Victoria, potential for an extra 3,000 people living in the centre, proposed new hospital and existing TAFE, it is a prime location for new investment.
