Street 14 Eligibility & Prizes

Street 14 is an open competition with limited prize pools.


AILA Prize – $20,000

The AILA Prize is open to any team led by any AILA member in partnership, or not, with one or more professionals in related disciplines (architects, urban planners, placemakers, engineers, artists, etc.) or by a student-led team. The nominated team leader is the only contact with the Competition Convener.


Student Prize – $4,000

The Student Prize is open to any student, be it in the discipline of Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, Horticulture etc.  The course name, number and entrant’s student number, as proof of enrolment in the course, is required at registration.


Best Urban Tactic – $4,000

The Best Urban Tactic Prize award is open to all groups. This award will be judged by the Jury for its innovative design merit.


The Moorabbin Prize – Various

The Moorabbin Prize is an array of community prizes to be awarded to what are judged to be the best entries submitted by any member of the public.


Exhibition Prize – STREET Trophy

The Exhibition Prize will be the preferred scheme as voted by entrants at the Awards.  Winners of this will receive the home-made perpetual STREET trophy, and kudos for the best peer-reviewed scheme.



No competition organisers (members of Street 14 jury and employees and contractors working for Outlines Landscape Architecture or the City of Kingston) and members of their family are eligible to take part in the AILA Prize, the Student Prize or the Best Urban Tactic Prize.  Anyone may enter the Moorabbin Prize.

Prize moneys are in $AUD will be issued by Bank Cheque for Australian Residents and Electronic Money Transfer for International Entrants.
